Governor Kasich Meets With Illegal Aliens, No Meeting For Ohio Citizens

Weeks before Governor Kasich met with illegal aliens in Columbus, there were requests from Ohio citizens for a meeting to discuss the effects of illegal immigration in Ohio. It was the usual, we'll get back to you.

While in Iowa an 11 year-old from Ohio and his DAPA-eligible mother, Maria, sought to pin Kasich down on where he stands on the President’s executive actions and ask him to remove Ohio’s name from the lawsuit blocking the programs in court.

The Governor agreed to a meeting with advocates and impacted families, and said that he did not believe in separating families. Andrew and Gladys were joined in the conversation with Kasich by Lynn Tramonte, Director of Ohio’s Voice and Julie Nemecek, immigration attorney from Columbus, OH.

Once again the Governor's office was contacted about scheduling a meeting, since he had time to meet with illegal aliens. The response from the governor's office was "the information has been sent to his campaign." This response was a surprise, the requests were to meet with our Governor. So why would our requests need to be scheduled/approved by his presidential campaign?

Governor Kasich met with the illegal aliens the same day an illegal alien was arrested for committing horrible crimes and later charged with rape and murder in Lake County.

When contacting the Governor's office again to request a meeting, we were finally offered a meeting with his staff. After pushing for two and a half months after being offered a meeting with his staff this was the response from Governor Kasich office " I am sure that the appropriate people have your contact information and will be in touch  with you if they wish to set up a meeting."

Nine months later and still waiting to meet with Governor Kasich to discuss the effects illegal immigration is having on families in Ohio.
